Cuadrilla is an exploration company focused on discovering and recovering natural resources, primarily natural gas, from shale rock. It was incorporated in the UK in 2007 and is currently headquartered in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire in the United Kingdom. It is owned by AJ Lucas (96%), and current and former Cuadrilla management.​
 

As a responsible corporate entity Cuadrilla is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance and transparency, and has implemented a comprehensive environmental monitoring programme at Preston New Road. As a UK first it has launched an ePortal on its website which allows the public to track various elements of its environmental site monitoring.
